About the Film Festival Les Femmes Underground International was founded in 2015 by Edda Manriquez. Since its inception, LEFUFF has traveled all throughout the Southwest including Los Angeles, San Diego, Phoenix, Massachusetts, Portland with collaborations in France and Germany.

Letter to the Community:

This year LEFUFF is participating in Giving Tuesday; which is generally observed the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. #GivingTuesday is a global generosity day that encourages people to support grassroots and non-profit organizations which contribute towards philanthropy.

 

LEFUFF is close-knit community entirely made up of volunteers, cinephiles, and activists. We operate off a sliding scale model to help bring underground and independent cinema to different communities.

 

However, LEFUFF prides itself on not only showing cinema, but supporting their local community and doing various philanthropic drives, donations, and events.

 

Part of LEFUFF'S mission statement is to bring cinema, art, literacy, and tools to at need communities. LEFUFF's annual philanthropic contributions include Los Angeles based Youth Shelters such as Jovenes Inc. Center in East LA, free feminine products to teens and young adults through Go With the Flow, and raise money for feline shelters such as Kitt Krusaders.

 

LEFUFF’s continued success relies on individuals just like you. Your gifts support Literacy programs and feminine product dives that have served dozens of youths and womxn shelters.
